Getting people added on your Facebook ads account

Available Permissions

When you wish to grant a user access to your ad account on Facebook Business (or inside Business Manager), there are some available permissions. The permissions for admin come in 3 categories which equip you with better account management. When access permission is given to another person for your ad account, it is possible to determine their duties or what they can view. You can assign them any of these roles below –

  • Admin

When you assign someone an admin role, they will be able to see ads, create ads, get access to reports, edit ads, edit the different payment methods, as well as, manage admin permissions.

  • Advertiser

When an advertiser role is assigned, the person will be able to
see ads, create ads, get access to reports, and edit ads.

  • Analyst

If you assign someone the role of an analyst, they can only view
ads, as well as, access reports.

Keep in mind that when ad account permissions are granted to
people, they can not get to view any of your profile details which we
personally did not share with them. Also, they will be to log in but not as
you. You need to be logged in on a computer in other to add a person or edit
their permissions.

Removing or changing permissions

It is possible for you to remove a person’s permissions or
get the permissions changed in your ad account. As an admin, you have the
ability to alter a person’s permissions in your ad account. Whatever changes
are made immediately reflect in your account.

  • Removing a person

Here is how to get a person removed –

  • In the Ads Manager, navigate to the Accounts settings section. Your password may be required.
    • Navigate to the section that says Ad Account Roles. Now, click on (menu with 3 lines) which appears right beside the names to get a person deleted.

You can delete yourself off an ad account even without being an
admin.

  • Changing the permissions

To change a person’s permissions, here’s what to do –

  • Navigate to the section
that says Ad Account Roles. Now, click on X
which appears right beside the names to get a person deleted.

    • In that same section, hit
the Add a Person button. Now, add the person you just deleted again to your
account. You need to ensure that their new role is specified before adding
      them.

Switching between different ad accounts

For persons that manage more than one Facebook ad account,
you can switch between different ad accounts by using a drop-down menu for
Account which is located in your Ads Manager. Here’s how to switch Facebook ad
accounts –

  • Navigate to the Ads Manager
  • Locate the drop-down menu just for Account and
    click it
  • Choose the ad account

If you wish to see every of your ad accounts, as well as,
pages that you manage you can go to Business Manager.

Manage different
account groups with varied access levels

Account group
overlaps can cause you to have different access levels to one account and will entitle
you to only the highest access level which has been assigned to that particular
ad account. To illustrate this situation, let’s say you are assigned admin
level access for group A and user level access for group B. If groups A and B
have an individual account that’s linked to them, your access level to that
individual account will be at the admin level.

Getting your ad account deactivated

Meaning of deactivating your account

When you deactivate your ad account, the main method of payment which you utilize for your ads will be taken off, every single ad of yours will become inactive, and your ability to create ads with the use of your ad account will be removed. To be able to create ads again with that ad account, then, you must get it reactivated.

If you’ve ever encountered a banned account or want to avoid running into this issue we’ve created an in-depth guide to help you avoid getting banned and how to stay compliant…

Points to consider before you deactivate your account –

  • Once
your account is deactivated, outstanding account balances are charged directly
to your own credit card. Also, your account will be rid of all credit cards
automatically once you receive your balance. About 48 hours or less may be
    required for this process.
  • If you wish to get your account reactivated, you are required to
allow the deactivation of your account and the payment of balances to be
complete first. For ad account reactivation, here’s what to do:

Go to Ads Manager, locate the Reactivate link, then, select it.
You will have to follow through with the steps to get your account active
again.

How to deactivate
your ad account –

  • Visit www.facebook.com/ads/manager to access the Ads Manager from your computer.
  • Click on. You’ll find it at the upper left.
  • Go to All tools. All you have to do here is just hover over it, then, select Ad account settings. Your Facebook password may be required at this point.
  • Navigate all the way down, make your way to the bottom of the page, then, locate the link that says Deactivate Ad Account and hit it.
  • On being asked to confirm that you want to deactivate, simply select Deactivate Ad Account. You find it located at the bottom corner to the window’s right.

What to do if you have issues with closing your ad account

  • Confirm
that you have an admin role on the ad account. Only admins can deactivate an ad
    account.
  • Accounts
with a current balance may experience slight delays in getting closed if
Facebook experiences difficulties with changing the payment method, probably
    because of an expired card.

What you could do here is to add another
payment method for paying your balances. On the payment of your balance,
Facebook will remove every payment method and deactivate your account.

Reactivating your ad account

If you wish to get your account reactivated, you are
required to allow the deactivation of your account and the payment of balances
to be complete first.

follow through with the steps to get your account active again.

Keep in mind that you will be unable to reactivate an add
account that was deactivated by Facebook because of a currency change or a
change to the time zone.
