Meaning of deactivating your account
–
When you deactivate your ad account, the main method of payment which you utilize for your ads will be taken off, every single ad of yours will become inactive, and your ability to create ads with the use of your ad account will be removed. To be able to create ads again with that ad account, then, you must get it reactivated.
If you’ve ever encountered a banned account or want to avoid running into this issue we’ve created an in-depth guide to help you avoid getting banned and how to stay compliant…

Points to consider before you deactivate your account –
- Once
your account is deactivated, outstanding account balances are charged directly
to your own credit card. Also, your account will be rid of all credit cards
automatically once you receive your balance. About 48 hours or less may be
required for this process. - If you wish to get your account reactivated, you are required to
allow the deactivation of your account and the payment of balances to be
complete first. For ad account reactivation, here’s what to do:
Go to Ads Manager, locate the Reactivate link, then, select it.
You will have to follow through with the steps to get your account active
again.
How to deactivate
your ad account –
- Visit www.facebook.com/ads/manager to access the Ads Manager from your computer.
- Click on. You’ll find it at the upper left.
- Go to All tools. All you have to do here is just hover over it, then, select Ad account settings. Your Facebook password may be required at this point.
- Navigate all the way down, make your way to the bottom of the page, then, locate the link that says Deactivate Ad Account and hit it.
- On being asked to confirm that you want to deactivate, simply select Deactivate Ad Account. You find it located at the bottom corner to the window’s right.
What to do if you have issues with closing your ad account
- Confirm
that you have an admin role on the ad account. Only admins can deactivate an ad
account. - Accounts
with a current balance may experience slight delays in getting closed if
Facebook experiences difficulties with changing the payment method, probably
because of an expired card.
What you could do here is to add another
payment method for paying your balances. On the payment of your balance,
Facebook will remove every payment method and deactivate your account.
Reactivating your ad account
If you wish to get your account reactivated, you are
required to allow the deactivation of your account and the payment of balances
