Wow! I bet that title grabbed your attention and sparked some curiosity, right? Reason being… We all want the secret sauce to ‘making money online’ and some of us go from one ‘guru’ to the next and one product to the next ever chasing this secret sauce but in all reality the answer is right there in front of you. In order to make money online you MUST have clearly defined offerings. When I say clearly defined, I mean crystal clear. Your products and services must be on point, and well-defined so that visitors to your website, Facebook page or in-person know exactly what you do and how you can help them.

Do you just tell people what you do, what you’re good at, but there’s no CLEAR, DEFINED way in the door? If so, people don’t know how to work with you. People don’t know what it is that you offer. You put up a website and just expect to make money, and just expect that people will contact you and seek to do business with you because it seems pretty interesting. That’s not the case. This is the #1 reason why folks aren’t making money online. It might seem strange, it might seem like common sense, some of you may laugh when I say what the reason is, and some of you may be hanging your heads in shame… 🙂

The #1 reason people aren’t making money online is because they don’t have any offerings.

You’ll see there’s a major pattern with the things we talk about in our programs (Marketing Game Changer)… and a lot of it has to do with CONTROL & LEADERSHIP. People know what they want, yes, but they also need to be led. Your website is YOUR domain, it’s your area, your visitors are kind of in uncharted territory and they’re finding their way around. It’s your job to lead them and tell them how everything works and what the steps are.

You have to be clear what you offer, what the price is, what the deliverables are, what the benefits are, of each and every way there is to do business with you.

It doesn’t matter what way you want to funnel people through, whether selling them right on your website, getting them to call you, selling them with email marketing, etc… the fact still remains that the offerings need to be DEFINED and YOU need to know them through and through so that you can think on your feet, be confident, and be able to work outside of the stuffy box and be able to make recommendations and offer solutions to people on the fly, based on real life conversations, and what comes up that they say they need.

Once you define your offerings, you need to stick with them. You need to stick with them because this will help all your marketing efforts for the entire year and help you laser focus on leading people through certain buying paths. When you just make custom offerings for each and every person that calls you on the phone, and when they tell you what they want, you say, “Okay, we can do that” – you’re setting yourself up for A LOT OF WORK and you’ll be creating and creating from now until the eons.

Creating this kind of defined structure is going to be a life-saver for you. Not only will it save you time, money and work… but it will also enable you to take advantage of A LOT of opportunities for joint ventures and collaborations (like interviews, telesummits, all kinds of stuff) with friends and colleagues that can (and will) catapult your biz to new levels overnight, seriously. We’ll go over JVs and stuff more in our Marketing Game Changer program, but just know that without this structure in place first, those JVs are going to be nightmares of LOTS of work and hassle and you’d likely turn down opportunities, and skip over them because you’d dread them… but with structure and defined offerings in place, you’ll be free for so many opportunities and be able to get the most benefit from them, instead of aimlessly ‘being seen and heard’ for the sake of popularity or something… you want results with these things… you want MONEY. You want to grow your business, right? So get out there and define your offerings and make it EASY for people to work with you and use your products and services… Your bank account will thank you. 🙂
